You may recall that after Jan 10, 2009 the weekly rate for the 172' Taipan III will drop to 98,000US$/wk from 125,000 US$/wk including a crew of eleven. An added incentive has just been decided upon. All positioning costs within the Thailand - Malaysia area have been eliminated. In addition to that, if a charterer wished to center a two week charter around Singapore, positioning costs would be eliminated. For a one week charter out of Singapore the positioning costs, if any, would be cut to 50%. The Taipan III Christmas charter just ended we ae told with a happy English family aboard.The next commitment is Jan 26 - Feb.1.
